(1) The commission shall recommend the candidates as per sub-section (1) of section 29 to the authority for appointment in order of merit.
(2) If the recommendation for the appointment of any of the candidates recommended under sub-section (1) is canceled as per sub-section (3) of section 38 or if the position becomes vacant within one year due to any other reason, the commission shall recommend an alternative candidate for appointment according to the order of merit.
(3) When recommending for temporary appointment from the list as per sub-section (3) of Section 29, the candidate who is included in the alternative list and could not be permanently appointed, shall be included in the first merit list.
(4) If a candidate who has been recommended for appointment in accordance with this section does not take the appointment letter two or more times, the Commission may prohibit such person from participating in the examination conducted by the Commission for a period of two years.
